sooo, contest entry but wasn't exactly up to par with the very vague entry descriptions... so yeah, I entered it wrong but whatev, I completed a picture! >8D
Supposed to imitate a game box cover. A few mistakes here and there but I was creating it while working on my thesis film, so some of it was rushed.

Very well done, your artwork is very good, you managed to fit all the stages in without overshadowing your action piece...but I have to admit, it reminds me a bit of an early sonic game cover with him running while holding the diamond of the inner earth like a chaos emerald :D
I used to play this game all the time on Game Boy, so when I found out about the expanded remaster Capcom did and tried it out, oh man, it was like falling in love with your favorite game all over again...which is exactly how a remaster should be.
Shame CAPCOM probably wont do the same for the sequel, or Darkwing Duck, that would have been cool.
