And there's Astro Boy!

Kay, I tried drawing him with the five eyelashes, but it just made him look weird the way I do it. So I dumped the eyelashes, as you can see.

I also used the boot design from the upcoming Astro Boy movie in october.

Not much to say about him. He doesn't really change in my fanfics, except that he doesn't have eyelashes. Before Dr. Tenma makes his appearance in the stories, Astro's very sensitive on the whole subject of being his creation.

My fanfics sorta follow the 2003 series but without all the "Dr. Tenma's the big bad guy." A bit after he met his friends, Astro explained to them briefly that his creator was Dr. Tenma, but he didn't go into depth because it hurt his feelings. He was also worried in the beginning that it was his fault that he couldn't grow, that Dr. Tenma had thrown him out.

Dr. Tenma does send out random robots to "attack" Astro, but it was only to test his strength and to help him evolve. He never wanted to harm Astro or his friends in any way.

So technically, Astro doesn't change very much in my fanfics. And the only reason I sorta use some adventures from the 2003 series as reference in the fanfics is because it's the only series I remember in full. I only remember the 80s one by clips and I wasn't around when the 60s one came out.
