AATC - There's Still Hope - story
The sky was filled with stars that night. The clouds that had rolled in the same morning and brought rain were gone by evening and by the time the children were tucked in and sound asleep, the stars and the moon had come out again, casting the city of Hearttropolis in a peaceful silver dreamscape. Most lights in the downtown area had been put out, allowing the suburbs to be soaked in the beauty of one of the summer's last nights.

And just as they normally did on a night such as this after a busy day, Alvin, Simon and Theodore climbed up onto the roof of their home and lay down, staring up at the infinite void above them.

AJ loves his Uncle Alvin to bits. He adores his stories, admires his courage and never takes a single word he says for granted.

... Which sometimes aggravates Simon, especially when AJ constantly says "Uncle Alvin said this, Uncle Alvin said that..." Sometimes it's a good thing, especially when Simon goes through a really hard time in life. Alvin tells AJ that he needs to be strong for his Papa, that he should always be a good little boy for him.

Alvin also speaks to AJ as though he was an equal. He never talks down to him, which makes AJ feel three feet taller than the rather small size he is for an eight-year-old chipmunk.

Okay, time for work. May post a Simon and AJ father-son story afterwards. Along with a picture.

That is so cute. I really love the way you draw the Chipmunks, and the children you've given them are adorable. I'll have to get around to reading your stories, they can only be just as sweet.
