Spike: Oh. I guess you guys would need to know your gifts in order to perform them. Alright then: (pointing at each chipette) Beauty! Illusion! Aaaaaannnd.... Water. Now you know.
Brittany:What?
Jeanette: Illusion?
Eleanor: Water! Sweet!
Theodore: My girl's got watah powah! (Theodore and Eleanor give each other high-five)
Alvin: Hey, whoa, whoa, Spike! Hold up! Why did you give them their powers off the bat, while we had to learn and discover them for ourselves?
Spike: Simple, really. You boys needed to learn how to really work together. Your wives already know how to do that.
Brittany:(smirking at Alvin) Which means girls are better than guys.
Alvin:Great! Another reason for us to argue!
Simon: Not like it wasn't likely to happen anyway.

Voilà! Girl Power! Hope ya'all like it!

Anyway, as you may have guessed from the text above, Spike reveals to the chipettes what their gifts are. I wanted it to have a catch; that their powers would go hand-in-hand with their husbands. Beauty with Strength, Illusion with Telekinisis, and Water with... you guessed it... plants. I thought it was cute to have Eleanor the most excited about her gift, since she's the less shy one of the girls.

Yeah, so in this pic, the Chipettes are only kids, but in the story where they recieve their gifts, they're actually already married to the Chipmunks. The story centres more or less around the strong bond Alvin and his brothers share, how powerful their gifts are when they work together, and on the full-of-potholes marriage of Alvin and Brittany. These two tend to fight constantly in the story, and Brittany ends out blurting out that she can't seem to really trust Alvin. This, of course, leaves the chipmunk with a shattered heart, until they both realize that it's actually the stength of their love for each other that holds them together, whether trust is hard to come by between them or not.

Besides; they both have smarty-pants sibs. Simon and Jeanette are constantly trying to bring these two back together although they usually only get pushed away

I may have more pics explaining about the girls' powers, and why they have those ones.

Anywho, before I babble on about another story, enjoy this pic. It's already ten to midnight in Manitoba, and I need to get up at six to get to university on time. After this pic, there should be some requests and an art trade completed.
