One Last Fight

I had ideas for stories (episodes, you may say) that take place between the prologue of the third Steampunk Ducks story, Space Gems, and the rest of the story. There's a gap of 10 years. Two of the stories involve Scrooge and his old flame, Goldie.

As I had mentioned briefly in her description in the first Steampunk Ducks lineup, Goldie, while working at the Blackjack Ballroom, made it a habit of hers to cheat hardworking men out of their gold, as well as steal the precious notes of Alchemists that attended the Academy, where Scrooge eventually enrolls out of sheer curiosity. Her father had been an engineer and pilot, thus Goldie knew how to work with machines and build things. She used this to her advantage by creating a golden glove of somesort that, by conjuring up transmutation spells, she could summon up what she claimed to be the rarest and most powerful of all Alchemic Color Shades: Gold.

However, when she attempted to steal Scrooge's Goose egg nugget, all the while trying to get away with his Alchemic notebook, he caught her, forced her to come and work with him for a month in White Agony Creek, and discovered that her glove's power was fake. While it was Alchemic Power, Goldie had only used gold dust to make it look Gold, hence needing to recharge it now and then.

So she kept the glove, even after Scrooge convinced her to start being fair and study Alchemy the honest way. It eventually came in handy too, in the very last battle they had together in a story relating to Space Gems.

Goldie eventually gives up Alchemy to settle down, always hoping Scrooge would do the same eventually.
