Fun fact: An avid book reader, Marlin could spend hours on end reading book after book, including textbooks, just to fill his mind. He also isn’t interested in romance of any kind, preferring the life of a bachelor (which makes him the favorite uncle of Spike, Coco and Satellite’s children).



Marlin was born a few months before Satellite, and was meant to be raised with him, until the squirrel was kidnapped. He was also an object of interest for Cat Eye, but his guardians, a young human professor at Sacramento U and his wife, were able to protect him. He grew up in the university and on the campus, having been homeschooled by his guardians and the university’s librarian.

Marlin is quiet and conserved, the Gentle Giant of the group of KICS. He can store large amounts of information in his mind, having a photographic memory. He’s always had an interest in becoming a movie producer, and before committing his life to being a KICS member and moving to Canada, he was able to study and work in the film industry. While his deep southern accent and height come in handy when he needs to be threatening, he would rather spend his spare time entertaining children. He also enjoyed being in the rain and catching frogs as a child.

Physically fit, Marlin is as much the physical strength of the group as he is morally. He never loses hope, not unless Spike does. He may be the most patient of the group, clashing with his best friend Satellite’s hastiness. His antlers also come in handy during missions, although he strays away from using them for violence. While he is not as large a target as Spike is for Cat Eye, he has proven to be a thorn in the man’s side, especially when a wall in his lair needs to be torn down to make a hasty escape. His love for football has also made Marlin skilled at defense, making it incredibly difficult for the enemy to land a blow, despite his large size.

Despite being the eldest of the group, Marlin often looked up to Spike for guidance and wisdom. He is one of the first who always follows the porcupine into danger and never doubts his words. In return, Spike taught him a few offense attacks, which have saved the gang more than once in tight situations.

As dangerous as he is on the field, Marlin is without a doubt the most gentle-hearted member of KICS. He is always willing to do what is right and will gladly lay his life down for his friends.


Despite his patience, however, Marlin does tend to be easily provoked when someone gets his name wrong. Considering his first three names begin with the letter “M”, most often stop him and immediately state that his last name is “Moose,” which aggravates him to no end.

He also dislikes when Coco pokes fun at his initials. --> “So in other words, you are… Mmme?”

Seriously, Marlin's name was a joke between me and my Dad. I couldn't decide what name to use, so we ended up saying all of them together. He said Moose at the end, and I said "No; Elk!" XDDD

MARLIN!!! OMG guys, this is the FIRST TIME I have EVER COMPLETELY COLORED HIM! Not to mention the 3rd time I redesigned him, if not 4th. I kept forgetting how he looked so I kept redesigning him.

This is official now.
