"It's going to take us until dinnertime, if not later, to finish unloading these from the van," she commented as her son squeeze between the towers of boxes and continued to play with his plane. "And by then, the front door will be blocked."

"Don't worry about that, my dear," an old woman replied while walking by slowly with a cane in her hand. "Christopher Robin is a fast worker; he'll get these boxes sorted out properly and emptied from the van before I have time to even start up the oven."

Scene from the story that takes place right after the Apocalypse in my KICS series. The Sevilles move into their new home and Simon has to start adjusting to a new life with his sisters-in-law back. During the ten years that the chipmunks lived in Hearttropolis with their kids, when the girls had disappeared, Alvin, Simon and Theodore had moved single beds into the master bedroom and shared it, just as they had when they were children. Of course, when Brittany and Ellie return, the boys aren't likely to share rooms XD So Theodore, Ellie and Simon move into the two spares.

Simon hadn't had a room all to himself for over ten years, so it was difficult for him to adjust at first.

I love this but I'm confused. I know it has to do with Bring on the Rain but I still don't know what happened to Jeanette. I have an idea but I'm sort of hoping it's wrong...
