Okay. The big thing that I'm happy about here is that I actually have more OCs in this meme than fanart. VERY happeh indeed. I've slowly begun to inch out from under the rock of security and showing to the world my original art. That's the biggest step I've taken so far.January: Since I had no time to go onto the PC, I got into the habbit of using my prismacolor and copic markers. I was able to properly do good blends and fell in love with doing blushes Oh yeah, I guess starting to experiment with Phinny's emotions was something of a starting point too.
February: Emmy and his twin sister Akiko. I started bringing out my OCs little by little at this point.
March: Expressions. And coloring crayons and markers. I still love my traditional work more than digital. This pic rocketed up to the front page of DA for a whole day, which REALLY surprised me since I never had one up there before that point.
April: End of classes, and as most of my watchers know by now, it marked the beginning of the giant trilogy of Phineas and Ferb: The Seer. Can you believe it's been that long already?
May: Well, I posted this pic in June, but actually did it in May. When I read a story introducing the origins of my sweetheart Lucy, my friend Mel asked if she could design her for me. And she did one heck of a job creating the little angel we all know and love now.
June: So many pics at this time, hard to decide which one to put in this. So I chose my teddy bear Spike. I was happy to draw him again. I experimented with lighting as well and new techniques.
July: SO many drawings here, but I think my favorite will be the introduction of Queen Mishah, Ruler of the Twilight Nymphs. She's become one of my most known OCs, and she holds a very important place in my heart.
August: The month was stressful for several of my friends, but also marked the airing of the summer's most viewed movie internationally: Phineas and Ferb: Across the 2nd Dimension. It gave me issues as well, with some picky watchers, but all in all, renewed my love for that beloved platypus.
September: Start of animation major, and piece 2 for my three main KICSters. Here, Coco makes his leap into the art world and actually gains a few fans.
October: Emotionally stressful month for me, with one entire weekend spend in tears and on the phone with Dad (yup, thar goes the Cellphone bill! XD) Stress, school, faith and friend issues broke out in the Month of Mary, as most Catholics call it. This piece was the official introduction of Shania Flynn, Francis' wife in Imagination Jumpstart. And it sat at the front page long enough for talented artists to give me a look.
November: My love for Winnie-the-Pooh was brought back to life by the DVD release of the movie. I finally broke free from my fear of drawing him looking stupid ever since I was a little girl, and drew Pooh not only in the Disney style, but in my own. This picture, to my great surprise, got over 1,600 faves. Part traditional and part digital.
December: Stress with animation, stress with coworkers, stress with spending Christmas away from my parents and little brothers, but so many good results. I was SO happy to see how far I had come in both school and art. Satellite has to be my favorite piece of this month so far, even though his height is way off. And I'm glad that, by this time in my 5 years of being on dA, I have watchers who truly support my original art and not just fanart.
Made some amazing friends this year, had so much stress, found a mentor in a true Disney Animator and got some encouraging words from Dan Povenmire of Phineas and Ferb himself. Met Catholics and other fellow believers. Helped friends through their struggles and wrote the BIGGEST book trilogy ever, gaining several readers who encouraged me to reach for my dreams and go ahead with my OCs.
Funny, I don't have anything of Mitch and Frankie on here. I'll have to do something for them too, since their fanbase rocketed in June XD
All in all, dear watchers and friends...
And God Bless.
